- Hello. In passive voice, we have these two examples:(Pandas were originally found in several parts of Asia.) and (Anyone who is caught hunting is severly punished.) Do we always put the adverb (if any) before the past participle? and if we want to turn them into active voice, do we put the adverb before the verb or after the object? So how will it become?

Hi

The adverb ''originally'' is movable, it can come before the verb or at the beginning or at the end of the sentence.

If anyone is caught ( we have ''is'' before the past participle.

The active forms you are asking about are:

People originally found pandas.....or originally people found pandas..... or at the end of the sentence.

If the police catches/catch anyone hunting, the police will severely punish them, or will punish them severely.

Thank you

Majed.
